This particular blade measures a full bodied 8 ¼ inches overall (when the handle is fitted to it). The blade is sufficiently sharp enough, however it is recommended you add your own twist and sharpen it to whatever level you wish to make this one fantastic skinner knife. The blade itself measures 5 inches.
It comes with a Brass finger guard which is very generous in size, so there should not be any issues of hands slipping during use. The tang is a rat tail tang with pin hole for securing.
