Case XX Vault R5285SPSS Red Stag Doctors Knife 3 3-4 058

This fine specimen of a knife is the Case CA058 (058) Red Stag doctor's knife with pattern number R5285SPSS. A superbly made knife with tough credentials, a rich past and a solid design all wrapped up in a genuine Stag handle.

The knife measures 3 ¾ inches when the blades are in the closed position so is good for every day carry if needs be. After a “sabbatical” inside the Case XX vault, the company has decided to re-introduce one or two very carefully selected models for a short space of time.

With this knife you get a stainless steel Spatula tool and a Spear blade. Both have been made from super tough Tru-Sharp surgical stainless steel that delivers total reliability, good edge retention and an ability to keep rust and corrosion at bay.

The Spear blade also has a handy fingernail nick (or groove) cut into it. This makes life so much easier when opening and closing down the blade. All you need to do is pinch-grip the blade between your thumb and finger.

The handle is genuine Red colored and jigged Stag that is pinned using Brass pins and rivets. It also has Nickel Silver end bolsters that are designed to strengthen the knife overall. These come in a highly polished state, as does the matching inlay shield – an oval shaped shield with the Case long tail C styled logo stamped into it.
