The Colichemarde became a favorite in the 1600's because it was able to withstand the heaviest of attacks being thrust upon it due to it's design where the blade was wide at the forte, narrowing to a devilishly sharp point at the tip. Therefore it was only right that something with equally powerful values as Cold Steel was developed under the Cold Steel brand.
Overall, the 32 3/8 inch blade is made extremely well using 1055 Carbon steel. It tapers to a tough double shell guard with finger loops and knuckle bow. The grip is wire wrapped entirely and has a matching pommel to cap it off.
