The Taylor Brands LLC company kept the Schrade name alive since the original company closed it's doors in 2004 after more than 100 years in production. The series comprises knives that take you back to times gone by. Classic designs with modern day materials and up to date workmanship ensure the name will carry on for decades longer.
This old timer bearhead is a folding lockback knife that measures just 3 inches in length (when the blade is in the closed position). The blade is a high quality stainless steel drop-point blade with fingernail grove cut into it that aids with the opening and closing of the blade. You can also see the SCHRADE brand name etched onto the blade near the hinge.
The handle is beautiful sawcut Brown Delrin with an oval inlay shield that says OLD TIMER and has a rope / notched edge to the shield design. The handle is held using pins and rivets to the Brass liners.
Made in China to exacting original specifications, Taylor Brands LLC (founded in 1975) have done a superb job of carrying the name forward. A Nickel Silver bolster completes the outward appearance, and the reveal at the rear of the handle provides access to the lockback release. This bearhead SCH3OT is a great knife and weighs just 0.10 lbs. 3" closed. Stainless drop point blade. Sawcut Delrin handles with nickel silve bolster and inlay shield.
