The Spyderco Byrd Cara Cara 2 BY03PSBK2 has a 3.75” blade made from 8Cr13MoV for the ultimate strength. The blade has a hole in it, which allows you to single handedly open the blade with no effort needed at all. You will notice along the blades spine, the jimping will enhance your thumbs grip when rested on top of the blade.
The knife features a locking mechanism which safely keeps the blade in the open position until you have finished with it. This has proved to be very valuable in a knife, as it helps prevent serious and unnecessary accidents.
The textured injection molded handle is very lightweight, so it works perfectly together with the blade. It has a very grippy feel to it, and the finger choil, guarantee that you have a tight hold of the knife when in use. If you have never been a huge knife fan before, that will certainly change once you have tried this. 4 3/4" closed lockback. 3 3/4" partially serrated 8Cr13MoV stainless blade with thumb slot.
