Spyderco JGGYP Item Description:This knife is the Spyderco sprint run Jester knife, model number JGGYP. A plain edged knife that is small and compact, key chain sized knife that you can feed your own lanyard through and secure it wherever you want. Premium steel and tough G10 it's a clear winner.
The knife underwent some serious design challenges so that it could provide you with great comfort and solid grip. Spyderco also redesigned this knife from the ground up instead of simply shrinking down a larger knife. They wanted this to be innovative and forward thinking, and it most certainly is that.
The knife has an arrangement of angled points underneath the handle so that it fits in your hand and gives god grip. It works very well. The blade is made using a hollow ground VG-10 stainless steel with the famous Spyderco opening hole. There is some textured jimping along the top section of the blade to provide you with good control during use.
You will also notice some jimping near the blade tip. This provides you with somewhere to rest your index finger or thumb depending on your particular style. Great for when you are concentrating on fine intricate work that needs careful movements. The handle is a Gray colored G-10 material handle that gives good grip.
The Spyderco Jester JGGYP weighs 1.1oz and has a blade that measures 1.93 inches, a cutting edge of 1.75 inches and a blade thickness of 0.08 inches. It's overall open length is 4.37 inches and the closed length is 2.44 inches. The hole diameter is 0.35 inches.
